The End and Beginning of Great Things

As I finished my MBA at the University of Maryland this May, I felt a hint of sadness leaving all of the great friends I had met over the last two years, but I couldn’t help but recognize my excitement for the next chapter … ECLP.

With my start date set for July 7th, I had about one month to travel. I decided to head west, first to San Francisco and then Thailand before returning and starting full-time at GE Lumination in Cleveland, OH. However, my return and transition back to the working world was eased knowing that I’d immediately head to the ECLP conference, one of the highlights from my internship last summer.

My first three days at GE immediately reminded me why I chose to work at the worlds 4th most recognized brand – the people. Prior to joining GE, I had worked with many teams where not everyone was motivated or even understood the business. At GE it is a different story. The people are motivated, brilliant and always trying to excel in their career and in life. This creates an environment that fosters learning and growth, both personally and professionally.

I consider ECLP to be the professional equivalent of an MBA. When the program begins we are required to jump into an environment where we are surrounded by some of the best and brightest MBAs from around the world. At every January and July ECLP global conference, we attend classes to improve our sales and marketing skills. While there, the program also fosters opportunities to create long-lasting friendships. However, the one key difference between ECLP and MBA school (and I consider a major benefit) is the ability to gain real world learning experiences at one of the world’s most respected companies.

As I write this blog, I am sitting in Old Greenwich, CT the night before the July conference begins. Despite the expectations I have for the event based on last year’s experience, I can’t help but wonder if even they will be surpassed. The ECLP conference allows for the opportunity to network with, and befriend, some of the brightest business minds in the world all while learning the fabled GE method for sales and marketing. It is an amazing experience that I feel privileged to be part of, and one of many provided to GE ECLPs.

This is exactly what I'm looking for! I'd love to join ECLP, as I strongly believe that I'll be an active member in your successful family, and I would do all what I can to achieve this target.

Hello,

I am an MBA interested in becoming a part of the ECLP program. Is there a representative that I can speak to to gather more information and begin an application process?

Thanks,
