ECLP Participates in Inaugural Georgetown/ESADE Global Career Conference

In an effort to continue with the global branding and sourcing of candidates for the ECLP Class of 2014, Chris Thomas, Global Recruiting Director for ECLP, and other  ECLP stakeholders participated in the Inaugural Georgetown/ESADE Global Career Conference & Expo.  As you may have read about in our blog from earlier this month, the Global expo was established to highlight career opportunities with multinational companies for international students who want to return to their home countries after completing their MBA programs. With ECLP continuing to expand in emerging markets, this event was a great opportunity to identify potential candidates for the program.

Speaker Spotlights: Alumni Memories from ECLP Conference

In early February, we heard from some of our ECLP alumni about what their favorite memories were of past ECLP Conferences. These ranged from team-building exercises in Prague to fast-forming yet long-lasting ideas born in Beijing.

As a follow on to these memories, we asked our alumni to share a bit more with us on their favorite training or speaker from past ECLP Conferences. As our alumni have suggested, you can bet some of the messages we will hear from our speakers in Buenos Aires will be as long lasting and impactful as ECLP has been over its ten-year history. Happy Reading!

More Alumni Conference Highlights!

Earlier in the week you heard from our very own ECLP alumni about their favorite memories and experiences from past ECLP conferences. Here are a few more that make me excited to be a part of ECLP and ready for the best Global ECLP Conference yet - Argentina, here we come!

“I remember joining my first (or second) conference in Crotonville 10 years ago. Members of Jeff Immelt’s Senior Leadership Team were present to talk to us. At the same time there was a Business Management Course, which we met in the “White house” during the evenings, and they could not quite believe how lucky we were to get this treatment so early in our GE career. I am not sure I understood it at the time - I do now! Have fun in BA - it is a great city!”

Making Memories: Conference Highlights from ECLP Alumni!

The GE ECLP Conference in Buenos Aires is three weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited.  After all, this is my first Global Conference as part of ECLP, and I will be reconnecting with colleagues that I haven’t seen since I started the program back in July of 2011.

Aside from the opportunity to sharpen my skills with Credit Boot Camp, Leadership Training, and Sales Force Effectiveness workshops, I’m also curious as to what to expect, how to prepare, and what the most inspiring part of the journey to Argentina will prove to be.

Adventures in Austin: GE CMO Beth Comstock visits the Lone Star State

Austin: The capitol of Texas and home to nearly one million residents, the best Tex-Mex tacos, the world’s greatest live music, and the infamous University of Texas Longhorn football team. The razzle-dazzle of Sixth Street nightlife combined with  open-air farmers’ markets and dozens of hike and bike trails that hug the edges of Lake Austin and the Colorado River make the city a mecca for people seeking a hip, healthy, and yes, a simply heavenly lifestyle.
